The program's self-evaluation was organized to meet the goals and demands of CAPES. In addition, the self-evaluation system used by the PPGEP is in line with the institutional self-evaluation system, established by the Evaluation Commission - CPA, available at https://www.unip.br/universidade/cpa.aspx. The mitigation actions or improvements implemented took into account what was described in the Program's Strategic Planning. The self-assessments were divided into qualitative, quantitative and quali-quantitative.
This assessment considered CAPES' demands in relation to meeting the goals and actions defined in the Strategic Plan, according to the SWOT analysis. This analysis was built and reviewed collectively by the faculty at planning meetings held since February 2021. The elements: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats, as well as the strategic goals and actions were assessed at the beginning of each year of the four-year period in question, in planning meetings held a week before the start of classes with all the teachers present. Based on the other items in the CAPES evaluation, the academic results of the candidates who could make up the program's highlights were systematically monitored.
