Susceptibilidade e Complexidade na Abordagem da Saúde Única (Susceptibility and complexity in ''one world, one health'' approach)

Ementa:

Vários são os aspectos que compõem o fenótipo susceptível de um indivíduo, uma população ou um ecossistema. Fatores demográficos e epidemiológicos são mais facilmente reconhecidos como predisponentes de vulnerabilidade a doenças específicas, mas padrões individuais ou coletivos únicos são os principais determinantes, tais como a capacidade de processamento de sinais de perigo, a autopoiese, a bioresiliência, a epigenética e a biossemiótica. Várias são as intervenções capazes de modificar tais padrões em um indivíduo ou em ecossistema único, com destaque para a homeopatia. Descobertas recentes têm mostrado que o processo de sinalização biológica envolvido na ação dos insumos homeopáticos em sistemas vivos deflagra, em última instância, a otimização de processos de adaptação e bioresiliência, tanto em indivíduos quanto em populações.

Dessa forma, as doenças infecciosas deixam de ser vistas como simples fatores resultantes de imunodepressão do hospedeiro e/ou fatores de virulência microbianos e passam a ser caracterizadas como o desbalanço de uma complexa rede de interações entre diferentes sistemas, o ambiente e os seres vivos co-habitantes. Fatores moduladores como estresse, poluição, sazonalidade, radiações, força gravitacional, etc. seriam, portanto, agentes perturbadores desta rede.

Aulas formais, estudo-dirigidos, seminários e palestras internacionais on-line estão previstos para essa disciplina.
