Syllabus
Presence of elements of traditional cultures in the configurations of languages and contemporary media productions. Concept of culture and noosphere based on Edgar Morin's theory of complexity. Fundamentals of symbolic thinking and the concept of symbol as assumptions for the foundations of mythical thinking. Relationships between symbolic thinking, myth, narrativity and metaphor. Concepts of mythical time and space and the relationship between ritual, culture and communication. Moving from ritual to spectacle, from participation to conversion. Role of narrativity in the media. Narrativity as an agent of resilience in social groups, enabling central elements for the processes of resilience, such as: the creation of the bond, the attribution of meaning, the processes of shared resignification.
